In an effort to provide a coordinated, supportive response to our member school districts during times of tragedy or trauma, the NEIU is initiating the development of Flight Teams. This IU-wide effort will enhance local school district support while connecting all school districts to a network of trained individuals who may be enlisted to go on-site when a tragic experience occurs. This team will work with existing school district personnel to provide additional support to faculty, staff and students while minimizing the impact of a tragic experience to the greatest extent possible. SHAPE Assessment

Why?

In an effort to utilize a common, evidence-based assessment to collect a regional perspective regarding mental health needs, we have asked the members of our NEIU Mental Health Consortium to assemble a team within each district to begin the process of completing the SHAPE assessment.

Who?

We are collecting data from across our 20 member districts regarding the mental health supports and services that are available to your students. We will compile the regional data to inform our work as the NEIU Mental Health Consortium moving into the future.

What?

Future programming and professional development based on the areas of need identified will be identified and developed. As a district, you will be able to view the reports generated for your individual district to celebrate the successes of programming that you already have in place while identifying some areas for improving the services available to students.

How?
